Lolu Alade-Akinyemi

GMD & CEO

Mr. Lolu Alade-Akinyemi is the GMD/CEO of Lafarge Africa Plc. Prior to this, he was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the supply chain director of the Company.

Mr. Lolu Alade-Akinyemi has over 20 years cross functional experience in finance, supply chain, business development, and sales. 

Lolu is a seasoned business executive with multifaceted international experience and accomplishments in turnaround situations, transforming processes to improve business performance, fostering growth in challenging business environments, and Profit & Loss oversight.

Prior to joining Lafarge in 2014, he was Finance Director, PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc for 4 years and he was at the Coca-Cola Company for 16 years where he worked in the UK, Belgium, Ghana and Nigeria taking increased responsibilities in finance, business development, supply chain and sales. He started his career as a trainee at ExxonMobil. 

Chinedu Richard

Interim Chief Financial Officer

Chinedu Richard is the Interim Chief Financial Officer of Lafarge Africa Plc. Prior to his appointment as Interim CFO, he served as the Head, Finance Performance Planning & Analysis.

With 17 years engaging work experience in Finance and other functions, he is skilled in driving performance in emerging markets, coordinating and leading finance performance management cycles and dealing with controlling and compliance environment in a market with significant volatility. His experience also cuts across managing project finance amidst uncertainties, attracting, nurturing and building key finance talents to drive business performance.

Yadagani Srinivasa Rao

Industrial Director

A cement professional with over 36 years of experience in driving performance, capex & project management, sustainable development and integration management, Yadagani joins Lafarge Africa Plc. from ACC Cements Limited, Mumbai & Wadi, where he served for 6 years as the Cluster Head – South, West & Central India.

In this role, he led a team of 8 plant managers, accountable for the performance of the plants in the region. Before that, he spent 11 years in Italcementi & Heiderburg Cement in various capacities including, Snr. Vice President – Works; General Manager, Maintenance & Capex Projects; and Deputy General Manager, Projects.

Gbenga Onimowo

Commercial Director

Gbenga Onimowo is the Commercial Director for Lafarge Africa.  

He has functioned within the capacities of overseeing Marketing operations, strategic business management, driving sales volume across trade channels, Trade marketing and distribution management, Brand building and portfolio management and new product development/innovation.

He has successfully managed several cross-functional business projects contributing huge commercial value, growth and business sustainability. Amongst these are Route to Market model change, New Market entries and Regulatory change management.

Gbenga has managed and coordinated different sizes of teams across boundaries. His success in people management can be attributed to the application of learning intervention methodologies such as coaching and mentoring. He is an excellent communicator and motivator.

Gbemiga Owolabi

Organisation & Human Resources Director

Gbemiga Owolabi is the Organisation & Human Resources Director for Lafarge Africa Plc.

Gbemiga has led the HR function for multinational organizations in various geographies including Nigeria, United Kingdom and East Africa. He has over 28 years’ experience spanning HR strategy formulation, international HR, talent management, employee engagement, capability development, HR business partnering and enterprise business transformation in FMCG, Oil & Gas and Telecommunications industrial sectors.

He was HR Manager for Lennards Nigeria Plc, Capability Development Manager for Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (CCHBC) in Nigeria, HR Manager BG Exploration & Production Nigeria Ltd, HR Manager for Dragon LNG Wales – UK, Head of  HR & Admin for BG East Africa, and the Human Resources Director of Airtel Networks Nigeria.
