Toute l’équipe francophone de « Careers in Africa »  s'est donc rendue à Paris pour notre dernier Sommet de l’année. Plus de 250 candidats ont participé à l'événement. Ils ont rencontré les délégués des entreprises participantes: Philip Morris International, Lafarge, HP, Baker Hughes, Orange, Stefanutti Stocks et Dangote.

Following on from the success of the Careers in Africa Recruitment Summit in April 2011, a second Summit was held last weekend in the French capital.

The Careers in Africa Team travelled to the capital and hosted our final Recruitment Summit of 2011. More than 250 candidates came to the event, held near the centre of Paris. They met with delegates from the participating companies: Philip Morris International, Lafarge, HP, Baker Hughes, Orange, Stefanutti Stocks and Dangote.

More than 300 candidates came to the Recruitment Summit in Johannesburg, held on 11 – 13 November 2011. The 14 companies that attended were very impressed by the high quality of candidates that came: Halliburton, Baker Hughes, DOW, Worley Parsons, FMC Technologies, G4S, Safal, Oceaneering, IBM, Total, Rio Tinto, Cuango, Oracle, Catoca.

We interviewed one lucky candidate, Isaura, who was offered a position with oilfield services corporation Halliburton on-the-spot!

DSC07188The Careers in Africa London Recruitment Summit was a fantastic success! We would like to extend our warm thanks to all that attended. More than 400 candidates came through the venue doors to network with approximately 40 delegates from 10 multinational companies.

Lagos_005_2Our team have returned from a very rainy few days in Lagos, Nigeria after hosting the inaugural Careers in Africa Nigeria Com Recruitment Summit.

Despite some minor flooding in the venue, more than a thousand industry professionals attended the Informa event, and Careers in Africa checked in over 250 candidates for networking and interview opportunities.

DSCN0866Members of our Careers in Africa Team have just returned from Houston after hosting our most successful Houston Recruitment Summit yet. Over 500 specially selected candidates met with more than 50 delegates from attending companies.

Companies in attendance included Cummins, GNPC, Total, Total Nigeria, Tullow Oil, Lafarge and Halliburton. They took part in the networking session, gave presentations on their respective companies, and carried out hundreds of interviews over the course of the weekend.

With the global competitive landscape changing dramatically, Africa is now emerging as a leading employment centre location. Many firms operating across Africa are recruiting aggressively and the African job market in 2011 is looking robust with a significant increase in the number of jobs compared with the same time last year.
