About Mozambique
Mozambique, one of the poorest countries in the world at independence, has emerged from decades of armed conflict to become one of Africa’s best-performing economies. Mozambique’s economic structure has changed dramatically in recent years, reflecting the impact of the “mega-projects” in the mining sector.
The agro-industry has taken a back burner in this economy which was once the largest exporter of cashew nuts globally. Growth is driven mainly by mining, services, energy and construction. Players in these industries are therefore recruiting skilled Mozambican graduates and professionals.
