About Senegal
Senegal had one of the best economic performances in Sub-Saharan Africa and has established a solid track record, a broadly stable political climate and a relatively stable macro-economy whilst making substantial progress on key infrastructure.
Senegal’s economy is based on tourism as well as agricultural exports; primarily groundnuts, phosphates and fish. Remittances from the Senegalese Diaspora also make a considerable contribution to the economy, especially in the booming construction and services sectors.
