Our International Recruiters and South African nationals, Nomagugu Nthimkulu and Gerhard van Niekerk, attended the South African Business Club event last week.
The networking and cocktail reception was attended by Dr Zola Skweyiya (pictured), the South African High commissioner in London, and Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka – Former Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa. She gave a talk on the topic of ‘How can we improve the Quality of Education delivered in South African Schools?’

Ten years since Rupert Adcock launched Global Career Company and the now world renowned Careers in Africa initiative, we interview him to find out where Careers in Africa has come from and where it's going.
We hosted the launch event for the South African Youth Professionals organisation last Friday! The event was partly organised by International Talent Acquisition Executive Noma Mthimkulu. Attendees from the South African business community joined representatives from the Careers in Africa Team to talk about life in the UK, business opportunities in the UK and how South Africa can develop in the future.

It’s been almost a decade since we first launched the Careers in Africa initiative. Since then, more than 6,500 people have found jobs through us back in Africa. Heineken have worked with Careers in Africa since we first started, almost ten years ago. We spoke with Victor Famuyibo, HR Director for Heineken in Nigeria, to find out his view on how Africa has changed in the last decade, and how he expects the continent to develop in the future.

Whilst in Luanda last week, International Recruitment Consultant, Ana Quinas, visited the headquarters of Multichoice Angola. There, she caught up with Marketing Manager, Maria Abreu. Maria attended a Careers in Africa Summit in Lisbon in 2008, and then was headhunted last year to take a position with Multichoice. We asked her about her experience.
