Job title: Recruitment Resourcer

Background: Born and raised on the East Rand/Gauteng, attended St Catherine’s Convent in Germiston and moved on to St Dominic’s Convent in Boksburg. What is the most challenging aspect of your job? Always being in the know about where best to find South African candidates who are ready to move their career back home.

What is the most exciting part of your job? The travel. I attended our Johannesburg Recruitment Summit in September 2010. I saw my country from a different perspective. I also witnessed the sheer admiration that foreigners felt as they saw what our country has to offer. This made me very proud.

That sounds interesting. Where else do Careers in Africa host Summits? Global Career Company specialises in the emerging markets, so we host Summits in Johannesburg, London, Nairobi, Dakar, Lagos, Paris, Lisbon, New York, Houston and São Paulo as part of our Careers in Africa initiative.

When is the next one? The next Recruitment Summit will take place in London, 21 to 23 October. It will be the second edition of the event this year. We expect more than 700 candidates to attend, to meet, network and interview with over 50 HR directors and managers.

To apply for the Summit, please visit www.careersinafrica.com Application deadline: 1 October 2011.
