Operations Director – Angola

Job Description

Our client is a multinational company that provides products, services and solutions to clients in the global energy industry. They are currently looking for a Branch Manager, to be based in Luanda. This is an interesting opportunity for national professional to join a leading multinational company and progress in an exciting and rewarding position.

Reporting to the Regional Director, the Branch Manager will be responsible for the general administration of this business, managing all Services Business within the assigned territory. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for execution of the company suite services: new equipment installation, revamps, maintenance, field services, to drive significant growth in the business especially with applied technology;
  • Cooperate with Regional Director to formulate strategy and tactical steps as well as necessary technical and commercial material to promote all areas; 
  • Consolidate with the support of the different Financial Controllers all monthly, quarterly and annual business reports, forecasts, plans and P&L for the assigned territory coming from the various Service Centres & Services Offices;
  • Ensure that the assigned territory is organized & managed in a manner such as the Company meet the required quality standards with consistent processes within the financial budgets
  • Engage with clients at all levels to help promote the business within the assigned territory and ensure clients are supported
  • Improve continuously service levels supplied to customers e review the needs for potential clients;
  • Continued leadership on improving the overall assigned territory;
  • Monitoring and mentoring the performance of direct reports addressing any performance gaps identified;
  • Ensure that security protocols and company procedures are in place and followed at any time

Requirements

  • Angolan national or resident permit
  • Engineering background preferable, or have previous experience in similar position
  • Extensive experience managing service delivery, operations in the O&G industry
  • Working knowledge of Oil and Gas industry standards
  • Commercial experience with sales proposals and contract terms and conditions
  • Experience managing operational personnel
  • Good financial understanding of growth initiative and P&L responsibility in the same range as this position
  • Extensive experience, which includes multi-culture projects in various Countries; 
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese

 Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering required. Other qualifications combined with a significant experience in O&G industry will also be considered;
  • Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP by PMI) highly regarded
