This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly innovative and dynamic company.  As the Head of Human Resources – South Africa, Mozambique and Angola, you will provide strategic leadership, support and guidance on the HR strategy. In this role you will lead a team towards delivering the overall HR objectives in line with the business strategy.

 

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Determining the strategic direction of the HR function in line with HR Africa strategy and Bosch Corporate Office
  • Leading succession planning topics
  • Leading in the development of HR strategies to support business development
  • Supporting in organisational development initiatives for different Business units and for Robert Bosch South Africa (RBSA)
  • Conducting benchmarking and best practice implementation in employee life cycle
  • Overseeing, managing, advising, supporting and coaching on the best practice in HR services topics such as:

Recruitment, Engagement and Retention – Support and guide with recruitment activities and policy implementation across Business areas
Payroll – managing the payroll team
Labour Relations – Ensure best practice in line with Codes of Good practice and LRA is
consistently applied in dealing with all labour relations matters
Health & Safety –
Employee Wellness – Provide guidance in the overall implementation of employee assistance
initiatives
Employee Development/Skills Development/Employment Equity – Communicate and develop where necessary the appropriate skills and development strategies in consultation with the relevant Business Units and the respective corporate offices to ensure targets are met
Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) – Oversee compliance to B-BBEE codes and manage setting and implementation of overall targets
Organisational Development
Audits – Lead, support and participate in business audits
General Human Resources Administration

 

The successful applicant must meet the criteria below:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
  •  12 – 15 years’ experience in HR environment (operational & strategic)
  •  Proven track record of at least 5 years in a Senior/Strategic Business Partnering capacity in a multinational company in a related or similar industry
  • Experience on cross border projects, post-merger integrations and business with an international company
  •  Exposure in working in a complex and matrix environment in a global company
  • Proven leadership skills in managing highly successful teams
  • Ability and experience in managing standardized HR processes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good attention to detail
  •  Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong business acumen with ability to challenge status quo for the wider business interest
