Human Resources Manager Function: HR Location: Burundi Global Career Company is currently looking for a Human Resources Manager for one of its client in Burundi. The HRM develop, implement and monitor human resource strategy, policies and practices in the OpCo / Region to ensure continuous availability of sufficient, qualified and motivated personnel, while also controlling personnel costs in order to translate business challenges into HR Solutions He/ she reports to a General Manager / Managing Director / Member of OpCo MT and functionally reports to Regional HR Manager/ Director He/ she is responsible within an OpCo for HR business alignment, HR Organisation & Management, Organisational & Leadership Development, Industrial Relations and all HR processes in the workforce cycle (plan, hire, develop, engage, perform, reward, separation) and HR basics (Organisational Management, Time Management, Personnel Administration, employee welfare services, Payroll). Main task : Ensure business support and jointly prepare the OpCo 3 year (updated) in line with OpCo/Region business needs plan; Ensuring alignment between global, regional and OpCo HR priorities Define an operational HR plan and budget, derived from the 3 year (updated) HR plan, for the own OpCo, including one-year objectives and in line with the regional/global objectives Provide (strategic) HR advice to the OpCo/Region management, and provide HR analyses to support decision making, in line with rules, policies and procedures Initiate and implement organisational and leadership development within the OpCo/Region in conjunction with Management team and local stakeholders Lead team working within the Management Team and facilitate coaching of individual senior managers Define, implement and execute policies and procedures for maintaining relations with Unions (OpCo) and Industrial Relations Ensure the optimal development and execution of all HR processes by introducing management tools, monitor and benchmark methodologies and best practices of other OpCos / Companies, and fact based measurements of HR function effectiveness and efficiency Lead projects that impact the HR organisation and contribute to projects that go beyond the HR organisation Lead the department and manage employees including recruitment, performance management and (career) development The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of the country law and HR practise with a minimum of 10 years experience in Human Resources as a manager.
