Human Resources Manager – Sierra Leone

Job Description

ECCBC was founded in 1997 as a joint venture between Cobega and The Coca-Cola Export Co. ECCBC has its headquarters in Barcelona and operates in 13 countries in North and West Africa.  

Reporting to the Human Resource Director, you will design and implement  an ambitious, forward thinking HR Strategy to ensure delivery of strategic and operational business plans in the company.    You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Contribute to the strategic planning process in the business and continuously ensure alignment of HR initiatives to key business drivers
  • Revise the business organisation structures, role profiles, manning levels and competencies to ensure that they support the current and future requirements of the business
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure that the business has a robust recruitment processes
  • Coordinate with line managers in ensuring the creation and delivery of training and development programs
  • Direct all processes that are linked to the performance management system
  • Investigate and consult on the implementation of competitive compensation and benefit programs
  • Recommend and provide specialist advice to line managers, consult and negotiate with trade unions and employee representatives, ensure compliance with employment practices and legislation
  • Develop and implement a communication strategy that allows a better cascade of information throughout the business
  • Direct change initiatives and builds commitment to implement changes to improve business performance
  • Leading and directing ad-hoc projects assigned by the Human Resources Director
  • Managing the payroll process

 The successful candidate must possess the following:

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree in a commercial field (Business Management, Business Administration etc.) with a professional qualification in Human Resources as highly preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience in an HR generalist role with proven experience producing and implementing an HR Strategy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Sound knowledge of local and international labour relations
  • Business English is essential
