Job Description:

Provide engineering professional and technical leadership in the Market, ensuring people health and safety, product safety and environment are never compromised, and that all engineering activities enhance business objectives, product quality and operations/plants performance

Responsibilities:

  • People Development. Ensure the development of Engineering talent review, career and succession planning, as well as the alignment of engineering resources with the market / business strategies and objectives, proactively operating as part of a multi functional teams. Maintain and develop the key Engineering core competencies, including Experts 
  • Product Mastership. Ensure Engineering plays a lead in Innovation&Renovation, maintaining links for new products&technologies with Businesses, PTCs, R&Ds, Corporate Units,  and protecting/deploying technological know-how. Optimise processes, product quality and safety, ensuring implementation of the proper Guidelines
  • Full Compliance. Ensure Processes & Equipments safe for people, products and environment. Ensure that the Change Management process includes the assessment of the potential impact on them, and that Engineering drive risk assessments and contingency plans through factory/site management
  • Competitive Product Supply. Provide engineering insight and support for the development and implementation of the MBS,  whilst fostering high performance Operations (ensuring maintenance execution as per the M&I Strategy, and that plants/processes are conceived, designed and implemented with high flexibility, fulfilling the Capex envelope).
  • Business Management. Implementation of all corresponding aspects of NCE. Ensure Engineering support to the preparation of  Market’s plans, procedures and policies (participating in the steering and governance of the Businesses in the Market). Represent the Group in all industrial, regulatory, environmental and social initiatives/events with relevance to the business

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years in a technical field, preferably food manufacturing or consumer goods industry (as Factory Engineer, Project Manager or equivalent positions), including different food products and processes (preferably in different Markets).
  • Participation in Market Engineering Conference(s) and Centralised Management Development Seminars (preferably including M&I/Factory Engineering Colleges)
  • Evaluation and/or implementation of Fixed Assets maintenance strategy, and maintenance budget preparation/control (preferably including exposure to TPM)
  • Negotiation and Personnel Supervision experience (with engineering or other technical teams, and contractors or other 3rd parties)
  • Prepare and submit Major Capex projects (CIAT), including preparation of the Investment budgets and participation in the MBS process
  • Development of Major engineering project(s), as project leader or within a multidisciplinary project team (preferably including major changes, new technologies or processes, and leadership or participation in the start-up process)
  • Participation in multi disciplinary teams that focuses in process, packing or project optimisation/continuous improvement
  • Line Management delivering results through others (by managing Objectives in an Engineering team or similar; development of people who went on to succeed)
