Offshore Materials Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
The Offshore Materials Coordinator shall inspect & verify goods on arrival. He/ She shall organize the receipt of material and carry out and/or arrange for receiving inspection and ensuring full conformity between material ordered and that which are supplied.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or related educational equivalent from an accredited technical school, trade school, or institute is preferred
Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, Training and other Requirements:
- Must be able to work without supervision.
- Training as required for position as per Ocean Rig Training Matrix.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Computer literate, competent with Microsoft Word, excel and Outlook programs.
- Administrative experience (preferably materials related) .
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and set priorities .
- Fluent Portuguese.
- Angolan nationality or resident card.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 1+ year experience as an Assistant Storekeeper or Offshore Material Coordinator on Drillships.
- Experience in a technical operation is desirable.

- Thorough knowledge of oil industry related materials specifications, standards and codes.
- Good knowledge of materials/equipment used in drilling industries.

AUTHORITY/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES
- The Offshore Material Coordinator is delegated the necessary authority to fulfil his duties listed this job description.
- The Offshore Material Coordinator overall responsibilities are, but not necessarily limited to, the following:
- Familiarize with Company Polices & Procedures.
- Inspection & Verification of goods on arrival,
- Organize the receipt of material and carry out and/or arrange for receiving inspection and ensuring full conformity between material ordered and that which are supplied.
- Report any non-conformance to Senior OMC in respect of the material supplied in accordance with the Supply Chain Department’s Procedures.
- Receipt and Issuance of spare parts and consumables in Company Inventory System in accordance with the user’s manual and on instructions from Senior OMC.
- Storing of goods as described in the Supply Chain Department Procedure.
- Maintain all material records and files as described in the Supply Chain Department’s Procedures.
- Liaising and preparing with Deck Foreman for the back-loading of drilling or Rig equipment on instructions from Senior OMC.
- Organise shipment of the material from offshore unit in accordance with Management Control Procedures on instructions from Senior OMC.
- Maintain all paperwork in an orderly and timely manner.
- Ensure that all orders given or received in writing or verbally are fully understood and adhered to.
- Perform physical count of the warehouse stock on a continuous cycle throughout the year ensuring that the complete stock is physically counted at least once a year.
- Ensure that all spare parts, spare equipment and consumables are at all times correctly stored, marked and properly maintained.
- Reporting Periodic Cycle Count results to Senior OMC.
- Reconcile Inventory Discrepancies with Senior OMC.
- Inform his supervisor of any suggestion to make a safer working environment to make a more efficient operation of the unit.
Offshore Materials Coordinator
- Compile a concise handover for relief at crew change
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness within area of responsibility.
- Keep storeroom tidy and locked while unattended.
- Participate in safety meetings and safety drills held onboard.
- Maintain all paperwork in an orderly and timely manner.
- Carry out tasks assigned in a safe and efficient manner.
