Packaging Technologist

Key Responsibilities:
● To manage the packaging part of new product development projects, margin improvement project and factory support project, against the agreed objectives and timings. ● To evaluate the new and improved packaging against the product brief and write technical reports on the findings.● Participate in packaging line trials and qualification trials at the factories and supplier facilities.● Conduct  real or simulated transport and shipment tests to qualify the robustness of the package assembly throughout the distribution system.● Create and maintain  packaging material and finish good specification database.● Conduct benchmark and competitor analysis studies.● Be actively involved in vendor qualification and development.● Must be involved in the implementation of new packaging development projects in the factory.● Working closely with all stakeholders in other departments to ensure smooth delivery of NPD projects and other tasks as may be required. 
Requirements:• Bsc/HND in Engineering or Science• Min 4 years experience in packaging or related industries• Ability to understand and translate the design requirements into packaging• Strong material knowledge and very good technical packaging knowledge• Strong MS Office, Internet literacy• Excellent Project Management skills• Good communication & organization skills, team player and self starter with good sense of aesthetics and creativity.
