Sales Manager, Uganda

Job Description

Africa Improved Foods (AIF) Rwanda Ltd is looking for a self-results-driven and enthusiastic self-starter Sales Manager to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

 

Key Areas of Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Implement a sales & distribution plan for AIF products 
  • Drive and grow Sales volumes as per the Sales plan of all AIF product ranges 
  • Build new client relationships
  • Negotiate sales contracts
  • Develop and present effective proposals to all stakeholders
  • Attend local trade shows & exhibitions – working with the Marketing team on new product launches and variety of other market communications initiatives
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
  • Present, promote and sell AIF products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships

 

The Successful Applicant Must Meet the Following Criteria:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Marketing or any relevant field
  • Discipline related knowledge and experience
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales, Commercial Channel Management in FMCG sector
  • Proven experience in Sales, Commercial Planning, Commercial Operations
  • Experience in successfully developing and rolling out sales and distribution plans
  • Proven work experience
  • Build a productive business professional relationships
  • Excellent negotiator and persuasive
  • Teamwork, excellent business acumen and independent judgment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
