Job Description

DIFFERENT PROFILES FOR THE FOLLOWING ASSIGNMENT AREAS

Packaging

– Understand Packaging processes and be able to link them to the knowledge learned in school: different lines and different types of product (PET, Glass Bottles, Kegs versus Lager, brown beers, beverages – Coke, Fanta, etc.)

– Be able to operate the packaging equipment at required standard based on the rules & regulation

-Understand the importance of proper maintenance of the equipment

Brewing

-Understand Brewing processes and be able to link them to the knowledge learned in school: Brew house functioning principles, Fermentation & Filtration

-Be able to operate the brewing equipment at required standard based on the rules & regulation

-Understand the importance of proper maintenance of the equipment

Logistics  

-Ensure the continued availability of raw materials and packaging (RPM) required for production, through good planning and calculation of requirements, in line with sales forecasts and storage goals.

– Ensure the availability of raw materials and imported beer for Production and Sales

– Calculate required quantities for the year by type of bottle and crates based on Production and sales targets;

– Calculate and Monitor  key indicators for  internal and customers logistics

– Establish schedules for transfers of products / packaging production from facilities to distribution centres;

– Maintain a permanent and fluid communication with suppliers in order to track raw materials and imported beer;

Ensure the animation of  Sales and Operations Planning and Returnable Packaging Management tools;

Maintenance

-To ensure the required availability and reliability of installations for the production process at the lowest possible cost and taking into account both legal and  regulations. (1) To assure this within the organisation by means of existing procedures. (2) Additionally, to determine the technical policy within the engineering department.

•To organize, execute and validate all projects, modifications required on electrical installations.

•To support with troubleshooting and support to (senior) shift technicians, in case of problems.

•Organize safe and effective start up and shut down of the brewery in case of power disruptions.

•Electrical drawing management end responsible.

•Assess, train and/or organize training for electricians, shift technicians, dayshift technicians, and operators with regard to electrical work.

•Ensure all electrical repairable components are effectively repaired and controlled

•Organize all required calibrations on the production instrumentation according to the maintenance plans and unplanned

POSITION PROFILE

Qualifications: 

– Graduate University in Automation (equiv. Bac/ Bac +3) in Maintenance engineering particularly in electrical, manufacturing, automation, mechanical or production engineering or

– Graduate University in Biology, chemistry, Food processing or other related field

– Graduate University in Logistics/MBA

Experience / skills required

–  Minimum of 18 months relevant work experience of  experience ideally in an FMG Industry or production industry

–  Experience in an international environment would be a plus

–  Flexible to relocate and spend at least one year away from home country.

Language(s): 

For DRC, Congo, Burundi: French required and good level of English

Algeria: French and Arabic required and good level of English
