Supply Chain Planner – Angola

This role is to be based initially based in Portugal, although candidates must be willing to relocate to Angola. This person will assume a double focus of responsibility, managing the Supply Chain Planning and, at the same time, the Costumer Service. It will be expected for this professional to analyse the movement of goods through the supply pipeline, monitor current processes, identify and analyse gaps, and develop process improvements. For the other hand he should also direct his attention to listen to customers and develop a strong appreciation for their perspectives, being able to answer their questions effectively and develop solutions for their problems, driving to achieve loyal customers.

The main job purposes are:

Use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. Assemble data, analysing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support SCM planning and operations. Plan and direct activities of customer service to meet the needs of customers and support company operations. Develops procedures, establishes standards, and administers activities to assure accurate order entry, efficient shipment tracking, and timely delivery of products to customers. Also responsible for effective response to customer requests, problems, and special needs which can extend to a global client base.

The Supply Chain Planner responsibilities include:

  • Gathers and interprets relevant data (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.);
  • Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions;
  • Develops periodic performance reports and distributes them to stakeholders;
  • Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals;
  • Coordinates delivery schedules and other supply chain activities;
  • Directs and controls receipt of orders and their release to warehouse or directly to client;
  • Establishes and monitors customer service performance standards;
  • Develops and maintains order management plans for key customers;
  • Develops processes to identify customer problems and resolve them expeditiously and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Angolan citizenship;
  • Bachelor Degree in related area;
  • Previous Experience, minimum 2 years, in Supply Chain work in relevant business area – FMCG or Pharma will be valued (Oil & Gas – Wholesalers can be considered);
  • Previous experience in Start-up projects and Costumer Management background will be a plus;
  • Autonomous professional with Operational / Analytical skills combined with a strong Client and Quality Orientation;
  • Availability to be initially based in Portugal, for around 12 months, and then relocate to Angola.
