Job Description

Accountabilities: 

  • Translate and cascade down OpCo/Brewery vision and strategy into department/ pillar strategy, objectives, priorities and targets and to create commitment to implement.
  • Ensure that all brewing, packaging, utility, warehouse and laboratory processes comply with Heineken Rules, Standards and procedures.
  • Ensure, maintain and improve the quality of Brewery products in the market, through effective use of TPM improvement methodology.
  • Maintain and improve the quality and usage of raw materials, packaging materials, chemicals and process aids, through effective use of TPM improvement methodology.
  • Ensure the Brewery Control Plan, the Quality Management System, the Food Safety System and the Lab Management Systems fits the brewery needs and comply with both Heineken and regulatory body requirements
  • Drive the technical and technological implication of new product innovation projects and give technological input in investment projects
  • Lead a team of highly motivated, well trained and competent staff by agreeing departmental performance standards, providing regular performance feedback and developing staff training programs.
  • Contribute to the budget preparation process, to manage costs within budget and to judge financial impact of performance and decisions 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Production/Chemical Engineering or any other related discipline. Preferably, a Post-graduate Honours or Master’s degree in any of the above mentioned disciplines is an advantage.
  • Must have relevant professional certification e.g. IBD.
  • A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in the process industry including operational and quality assurance roles.
  • Good in English and French
