Please take a few moments to read through a selection of Candidate Success Stories:
'I would like to thank GCC for informing me about the career opportunities that were available with Standard Chartered Bank. I was able to apply for their Graduate Associate Programme, pass all stages within their selection and get the opportunity to attend the Careers in Africa Summit in London. I was successful in my interview and have been offered a place in their intake for 2006/7. Many thanks to GCC for organising such an exciting event!'
Angel Nwokedi
'Having travelled from Asia, where I was previously based, to the Careers in Africa Summit held in Brussels, I was positively surprised by the number of opportunities that were available to me. My trip to Brussels bore fruits; I have joined Celtel International as a Sales Director for their Sierra Leone operation.'
Keith Tukei
'I applied for the Careers in Africa Summit after hearing about it from another Tanzanian friend of mine. I had a pre-scheduled interview with Noremco, and at the Summit I secured many additional spontaneous interviews. I received a verbal offer from Group Five on the Sunday after having a spontaneous interview with the HR Director. Within a month of the event, I received the full offer and details of my role in Tanzania. I moved back to Tanzania in July and began working at their offices in Dar es Salaam. The opportunity I gained through the Careers in Africa Summit had definitely expanded the horizons of my career. Thank you GCC for all your support and keep up the good work!'
John Marco
'After a successful interview I received an offer on the Sunday of the Summit. One month later I am back in South Africa working for Eskom! I am very happy to be home working for such a good employer. Thank you GCC'
Vuyelwa Peteni
'I had the chance to meet with young African graduates and professionals from all over Europe, with very interesting backgrounds. The interviews went well and the company delegates made me feel both comfortable and secure that I was the candidate they were looking for. It was an experience I won't forget. Thank you GCC.'
Mohamed Haoues
'Careers in Africa Summits offer a world of opportunities that one cannot afford to miss. I had a wonderful time at the 2005 UK Summit. My personal highlight was meeting a young lady like myself who was recruited into Shell Ghana at the 2004 UK Summit. She shared her experiences with me and I told her I would like to return the following year to do the same. Little did I know it would happen; I attended the 2006 UK Summit as the P&G Nigeria Recruitment Manager!'
Chinwe Umealo
'Thank you so much GCC; you gave me a wonderful opportunity back home. I was at the Summit last year and secured a role with Heineken - your service is most appreciated, you're doing a wonderful job. Thanks once again.'

'My advice to anyone considering careers in Africa is "apply now" for this year's event, it's an unbeatable opportunity! Having been recruited into Coca-Cola through the Careers in Africa Summit, I have enjoyed a varied and fast moving career across Africa with several promotions in a short space of time and am now enjoying the challenges of being a regional marketing manager. I could not have wished for a better career move - thank you GCC!'
