Job Description

Our client is a leading Emerging Markets telecommunications player in Uganda. They are currently looking for the very best Ugandan and diaspora talent to fill various leadership roles within their organisation including:

  • Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO)
  • Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
  • General Manager – Enterprise Business Unit (EBU).

The successful candidates will embody the organisation’s culture and values of leadership, innovation, relationships, integrity, accountability and a “can-do” attitude in order to take on the challenge of leading the organisation to achieve its strategic priorities of;

Personal Specification

  • Must have Ugandan work authorisation
  • Must have a relevant business degree
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills – be charismatic
  • Be able to work well in a team and with a variety of other organisational leaders – be inspirational and emotionally intelligent
  • Have a demonstrated background in a leadership role as well as within their job function – know how to influence others positively to achieve results
  • Experience and success in achieving short and long-term goals/targets – be results driven and hands-on with a bias for action
  • Experience in driving, managing, and implementing an organisational change – create impact and lasting results
  • Strong and respected leader who is not afraid to address conflict and make difficult decisions – be able to skilfully navigate existing political structures/systems and work with a diverse set of stakeholders.
