Operations & Market Development Manager

Job Description

Responsible for Afrimoney market development and business revenue growth as per pre-set targets countrywide.

  1. Responsible for achieving Afrimoney Business targets for Agent, Merchant and Subscriber aquisition, growth, usage, liquidity and retention.

  2. Ensure delivery of the MM P2P, P2B, B2P B2B payment and transfer services and targets in the countrywide.

  3. Responsible for operational enforcement of Payment Service Provider(PSP) regulatory standards in accordance with the PSP regulations.

 
Key Responsibilities
 
  1. Develop and implement the annual operations and market development work-plan in line with the Afrimoney business strategy and targets.

  2. Responsible for prospection, recruitment, training and supervision Afrimoney Agents, merchants and customer touch points countrywide as per preset business targets.

  3. Continous monitoring, supervision and evaluation of MM Super /Master Agents performance in order to drive increased subscriber registrations, usage and digital payments revenue growth.

  4. Drive acquisition, training of Afrimoney subscribers, institutions and SME’s countrywide.

  5. Responsible for collecting Subscriber abd Agent KYC for onward submission to the MM administrative team in accordance with the PSP-Regulations.

  6. Provide leadership to the Afrimoney BDEs in developing effective area based work-plans that will deliver the required growth in the respective regions and territories as per preset targets.

  7. Manage Afrimoney distribution by conducting weekly field visits and quality operational audits to verify agent and merchant liquidity, trade visibility and timely resolution of queries

  8. Work closely with the various Afrimoney functional teams to deliver the specific adminstrative, regulatory, sales, distribution, marketing, technical, projects and payments goals accross Angola.

  9. Identifying and harness any Mobile Money business opportunities and report any competitor activity in the operational and market enviroment in Angola.

  10. Lead the operations and market development team in representing AAMMSA at exhibitions, events and promotions countrywide.

  11. Actively conduct special periodic Africell coverage, distribution, pricing, product, project and promotional investigations in order to guide effective Africell market development countrywide.

  12. Ensure liaison of BDEs with all institutional and corporate/strategic partner field contact persons in order to ensure effective service deliver of Afrimoney payment services accross Angola.

  13. Coach, monitor and evaluate the input and output KPIs for the BDE’s, Super and Master Agents in order to ensure achievenment of the preset performance targets.

  14. Adherance to all company policies, procedures and business ethical conduct.

  15. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director Of Operations from time to time.

Personal Specification

Education & Experience
 
  • Minimum of a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a Sales, Distribution or operational level in a related environment.
  • Computer Knowledge in MS Excel, Word, Power Point.

  1. Must have a high level of integrity, be a team player and adhere to time keeping.

  2. Experience in FMCG, trade or corporate market development will be an added advantage.

  3. Able to communicate complicated operational issues, with effective presentation skills.

  4. Self-motivated, flexible and able to work with negligible supervision.

  6. Should have negotiation skills to deal with different kinds of customers.

  7. Able to work under pressure and promptly meet deadlines.
