Aker Solutions are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join their team. In this role, you will support the Lead or Principal Engineer in meeting project requirements and executing technical duties with efficiency and expertise. You will be responsible for maintaining high technical standards while ensuring compliance with Aker Solutions’ values, systems, and processes, including PEM and AKIiMS.
Organisational Responsibilities:
- Act as Task Lead Engineer when assigned.
- Assist in CTR and man-hour estimates preparation via AKIMS.
- Execute duties professionally, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure project deliverables are generated via AKIMS where applicable.
- Review and check the work of others.
- Support lead/principal engineers in planning, coordination, and execution of group activities.
- Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication, and commissioning.
- Supervise and direct subordinate engineers.
- Assist in weekly progress reporting via AKIMS.
- Provide technical guidance to drawing office personnel.
- Deputise for the Principal Engineer when needed (holiday/sickness cover).
- Willing to travel to offshore production facilities.
- Attend relevant meetings.
- Basic knowledge of design software (PDMS, Navisworks, AutoCAD).
Task Lead Responsibilities:
- Oversee single/multi-discipline engineering modifications or project scope delivery.
- Define and manage scope of work per client requirements.
- Accountable for multi-discipline CTRs/man-hours and ensuring productivity is maintained.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Develop engineering concepts into detailed designs.
- Conduct manual and computer analysis.
- Prepare CTR estimates for electrical scopes.
- Develop construction and commissioning procedures.
- Familiar with HAZOP/HAZID processes.
- Review vendor information, assist in inspections and testing.
- Perform discipline checks, inter-discipline reviews, and subordinate work checks.
- Conduct onshore/offshore surveys and resolve site queries.
