Managing Director


Location: Maputo, Mozambique

Our client is a multinational company in the O&G industry, and currently looking for a Managing Director for their Operations in Mozambique. This professional with work with the Board Directors to to ensure that the company gains market share and the strategic objectives

Main responsibilities include:

  • Developing an overall Sales, Product and Marketing strategy for affiliates;
  • Developing  and implementing strategies to ensure  BU achieve business  targets;
  • Identifying specific opportunities, contacting and negotiating new businesses;
  • Ensuring product availability within the Affiliate at all times (liaising with supply & optimization to set up consistent supply chain);
  • Building business relationships with decision makers within country to ensure growth  is in line with the strategic objectives;
  • Developing key strategic relationships with Government bodies;
  • Ensuring communication and cooperation between various departments in the BU, and external stakeholders;
  • Managing the Human Resources element within the country
  • Defining and managing budget
  • Operating Standards & Procedures should be implemented


Requirements

  • Management experience is essential.
  • O&G/Energy industry experience will be advantageous.
  • Commercial experience will be an advantage.
  • Budget and financial reporting experience
  • Team management experience
  • More than one business units, sites, branches or similar structure would be an advantage
