Essential Responsibilities

As delegated by the Project Director for a define scope of the allocated project:

• Application of the Project Execution Strategy for the scope of work allocated, to deliver the project
• within the contract specification, programme, budget, quality and EHS targets and cash targets,
• Co-ordination of all activities for the allocated scope including engineering, procurement and logistics, erection and commissioning,
• Manage the allocated project in order to achieve the project goals and objectives,
• Perform proper risks and opportunities management,
• Initiate and execute gate reviews as appropriate,
• Define most effective claim strategies towards clients, partners, subcontractors, vendors,
• Perform negotiations with clients, partners and/or subcontractors/vendors,
• Prepare and perform Project Reviews as requested,
• Liaise with Project office,
• Liaise with other Businesses,
• Develop and maintain corresponding relationships with clients, partners and main  subcontractors/vendors to ensure smooth operation of projects and smooth dispute resolution,
• Establish, implement and maintain operating standards to ensure quality project results and customer satisfaction,
• Capture return of experience and best practices,
• Provide input to project people performance reviews to functions
• Ensure that proper resources are allocated within the project team or hire extra resources to fill the gaps
• Resolution of claims and concessions to/from customers, consortium partners, contractors and sub-suppliers for the allocated scope of work,
• Development and evolution of the overall project schedule (plan) for the allocated scope of work, updating of the schedule to reflect progress and using the schedule to optimise work and resolve problems,
• Application of project specific procedures, work instructions, project quality and EHS plans.
• Application of the Steam Plants Management System to the Project,
• Undertaking any other tasks as instructed/requested by the Project Director

Key Performance Indicators
One evidence of good performance related to each single task and responsibility mentioned above
• Development of gross margin and provisions in the allocated scope of the Project,
• Development of cost, time schedule and quality in the allocated scope of the Project,
• Compliance with processes, procedures and tools,
• Provision of experience feedback to other projects and functions
• EHS project performance in the allocated scope of the Project

Autonomy / Authority
Area(s) where the position holder is the decision maker
• As defined by the Project Director and set out in the project specific delegation of authority
Area(s) where the position holder provides recommendations:
• Resolution of claims to/from customers, consortium partners, contractors and sub-suppliers for the allocated scope of work
• Management of risks and opportunities associated to the allocated scope of work
• Developing and management of the relationship with the Customer

Qualifications/Requirements Education & Training

Mandatory 
• Degree in Engineering and/or Business Management

Professional Experience

Experience gained on the job during professional life
Mandatory 
• 5 years of experience in the Power industry with at least an experience in one of the following activities: engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, project management of large/complex projects
Desirable 
• Site experience

Behavioural and/or Technical Know-how
Mandatory
• Strong planning, organizing and priority setting skills
• Broad technical and commercial knowledge covering multiple disciplines
• Excellent knowledge of planning control principles

Language Skills

Mandatory 
• Strong ability to communicate verbal and in written English
Desirable 
• Proficiency in the local language may be required
