Job Description

Regional Operations Director

Main Purpose of Position:

  • The management of the provision of quality contractual and ad-hoc integrated security services to customers within the region, in compliance with legislation, company policies, processes and procedures, to ensure the achievement of budgeted financial targets and satisfied customers.

Manage the Region’s cash flow:

  • DSO management / reduction 6 monthly
  • Debt increase beyond 60 days
  • Bad debt movement into 180 days
  • Capex spent vs. budget

Effective management of staff with region

Effective Organisation

  • Regional organisational structure staffed
  • Allocation of tasks
  • Job descriptions complete
  • Six monthly appraisals, training needs analysis and schedule
  • Staff turnover analysis, reduction of staff turnover 6 monthly

Staff Development:

  • Succession Planning in place, updated and practiced
  • Employment equity % achievement vs. targets

Staff matters:

  • Number of pay queries resolved, unresolved, movement up/down compared 6 monthly
  • Disciplinary cases / dismissals reduction 6 monthly
  • CCMA cases reduction 6 monthly

Effective management of operations

Customer Focus:

  • Retention and customer satisfaction ratings improved
  • Proportion / % of contracts lost reduced
  • Proof of contact / meeting schedule with customers on all levels of management (Sup / CM / CSM / Ops Mng / ROD)

Quality of Service:

  • Quality Audit rating, correction plan in place and implemented
  • Utilisation of Ops Procedure Manual on Contract, CM, CSM and Ops Manager levels
  • Contracts % SLA’s in place and signed – 6 monthly improvement

Shared Best Practice:

  • Specific examples of implementation of BP from other regions

Effective management of business development function

Marketing Plan:

  • In place and integration with National level marketing
  • Identification of top 5 competitors
  • ID top 3 contracts targeted 6 monthly

Effective management of Systems Business / Systems Business Development

  • Progress / success re new business achieved vs. budget on a 6 monthly basis
  • ISS / Systems progress vs. target turnover measured 6 monthly
  • Minimum margin %’s achieved wrt systems business
  • Project management of all new business registered on Access
