Mabati Rolling Mills Ltd (MRM) is the flagship company of SAFAL GROUP, which is the leading manufacturer of flat and long steel products in Africa. Mabati Rolling Mills Ltd is seeking to recruit a Sales Manager.

Job Purpose:

As the Sales Manager for the Sales and Production Planning Department, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales which ensures the profitability and expansion of the business both locally and for export.

You will manage a team and be responsible for the following:

      • Establish the product portfolio and the markets served conducting market and product research service.
      • Ensure packaging, advertising, promotional and pricing strategies are established and adhered to Optimisation of customer service levels through regular communication.
      • Production planning, coordination and control of manufacturing process activities to ensure smooth production and shipment of goods to meet customer requirements in an efficient and timely manner.
      • Liaison with other departments in supply chain network including Procurement and Customers to develop the master schedule for the production of goods , including total number of customer orders and commitment deadlines, inconsideration of product specifications and manufacturing capacity.
      • Monitoring progress of work, inventory levels and production problems and initiate corrective action on issues that may delay shipments.
      • Coordinate and expedite the flow of information, work and materials within or between departments of the organisation according to production, work, shipment schedules and capacity levelling.
      • Manage sales demand to ensure there are always adequate levels of sales demand in line with the product on the floor Develop, lead and maintain a motivated and high performance team.
      • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements internationally accepted environmental, health, safety and quality standards.

 

The Successful Applicant Must Possess the Following:

      • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field A minimum of 5 years of commercial sales experience with a successful track record ideally from a manufacturing or related background.
      • Proven ability in leading a high performing team Strong knowledge and expertise in production planning Good communication and presentation skills
