Afreximbank will engage high-calibre mid- to senior-career professionals interested in long-term career opportunities across Africa and the Caribbean to build a strong pipeline of experienced African and Caribbean professionals interested in contributing to the Bank’s mandate and exploring future career opportunities across its operations.
Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to meet Afreximbank representatives, learn more about the Bank’s mandate and strategic priorities, discuss their professional experience and career aspirations, and explore potential future career opportunities within the organisation.
Requirements
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
African or Caribbean nationality and a strong interest in contributing to Africa and the Caribbean’s trade, industrialisation and economic development.
Typically 8–15 years’ relevant experience, combining strong technical expertise with leadership potential and commercial orientation.
Willingness to relocate to one of Afreximbank’s locations across Africa or the Caribbean, depending on future career opportunities.
Relevant academic qualifications in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, International Trade, Technology, Engineering or related disciplines.
Strong professional experience within banking, development finance, investment, trade, industry, technology, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, infrastructure or commercial development.
Experience mobilising capital, building cross-border partnerships, developing value chains, scaling businesses or supporting routes to market would be particularly relevant.
International, emerging-market, African or Caribbean market experience would be advantageous.
Fluency in English is required. Additional proficiency in French, Portuguese or Arabic is highly desirable.
