About the Role
The Senior Associate, Marketing, Events & Communication will lead the development and execution of AFC's external communications, media engagement, and executive visibility strategy. This role will oversee flagship events, global stakeholder convenings, reputation and crisis communications, digital communications and content strategy, internal communications and leadership messaging, and agency and vendor management. The role will ensure AFC's brand positioning is strengthened, stakeholder engagement is deepened, and visibility is enhanced across African and global markets.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related discipline.
6–8 years' experience in digital marketing, digital communications or a related field, ideally within financial services, infrastructure, development finance or a corporate environment.
Strong experience managing websites, social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
Proficiency in digital marketing and analytics tools, including Google Analytics, SEO and social media management platforms.
Experience using website content management systems (CMS) and creative software such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
Excellent writing, editing and digital storytelling skills, with the ability to create engaging content for a range of audiences.
Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience coordinating external agencies, suppliers and digital partners.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret digital performance data and translate insights into action.
Creative, collaborative and proactive, with an interest in infrastructure, development and Africa's growth agenda.
