Overall Purpose of the Job
To run subsea equipment offshore to allow the Client to conduct successful, safe operations.
Principal Accountabilities
- Maintain active participation with delivering HSEQC objectives as part of the country HSE quality and Competence plan. Actively participate in the maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management Systems in Angola. Actively encourage and promote safety consciousness and accountability during daily activity.
- Working to support and deliver the Excellence In Operations initiative to continually exceed our customer’s expectations.
- Conduct our business in a manner that prevents harm to people and the environment as a result of our operations
- Assisting in ensuring successful tool runs allowing Client to complete operations safely with minimum ‘down time’.
- Assist in equipment maintenance and preparations ensuring equipment is fit for purpose. This is essential for the success of operations.
- Give concise instruction and meaningful tuition to subordinates allowing them to develop their skills and become a useful team player.
- Ensure equipment and safety systems are installed and pressure- and function tested prior to commencement of Subsea completion operations as per the client’s completions programme.
- Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with the Subsea Operating Manual and guidelines and that equipment is in full compliance with Expro certification standards.
- To broaden scope of knowledge and become a more flexible member of the team (through competence system).
- Not to undertake any task for which authorisation and/or appropriate training has not been given.
- Assist other Expro services as and when appropriate.
Job Context and Main Activities
• Support Supervisor and Senior Technicians in all aspects of the operation in a professional manner, ensuring that customer expectations are satisfactorily met and the best interest of the client and Expro are maintained.
• Compliance with Expro’s policies, standards and procedures to deliver a safe and quality service.
• Adherence to the expectations set out in the Accountabilities and Responsibilities for safety.
• Review risk assessments for task in hand and generate new assessments where required.
• Conduct tasks as instructed by the Supervisor and Senior Operators.
Decision making Authority/Level of Supervision Required
• Expro procedures should be followed at all times where appropriate i.e QA procedures manuals or subsea operations manuals.
• Decisions that affect the safety of operations or tool reworks should be left to supervisory staff onshore.
