Job Purpose:
Will be responsible for managing Labour Relations in the bank while assisting the CHRO in overseeing the review, design and implementation of HR Policies and procedures to ensure that they are in line with the business plans and objectives of the bank
Key Responsibilities:
- Study and report to management on legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts and assess industry trends.
- Responsible for handling Industrial Relations, Human Resources policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance of Labour legislations HR policies are in line with NMB Business plan.
- Liaise with other Departments/Institutions within and without NMB for the purpose of creating conducive working environment.
- Support the process of negotiating collective agreements and help interpret related Labour legislations and ensure that all decisions, events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards of good employee and labour relations.
- Handle all staff complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts in a timely, proper manner and cost effective way.
- Attends to all disciplinary meetings and ensures that disciplinary policies and procedures are followed and represent the Bank at Labour/employment related hearings and investigations.
- Report on the progress of all Labour/Industrial cases handled by the bank or by its external legal counsels and advice CHRO on the proper action or course of action.
- Ensure speed management of Industrial cases conclusions of all cases both at Head Office and Zones within the stipulated time line.

- Graduate in Social Sciences with Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law
