Specialist Card Services (Visa/MasterCard)

Job Description

Job Purpose:

To lead a section responsible for day to day operations of Visa / MasterCard cards 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily extraction of NMB MasterCard card application files from Flexcube Core Banking System (CBS) and upload to the TPP for personalization. The types of card application files will be: Personalized cards with or without PIN Mailers and Instant Un-personalized cards with or without PIN Mailers (Chap-Chap)
  • Coordinate card personalization process with TPP until delivery of cards
  • Distribution of ATM cards to respective branches where customers have opted to collect them (Branch to Deliver ATM cards)
  • Supports database and applications infrastructure used for production, storage and distribution of NMB MasterCard production
  • Provide 2nd level support to branches (after Help Desk) on NMB MasterCard (on-us) and other bank (not on-us) Visa / MasterCard issues or transactions acquired on NMB ATMs
  • Provide 2nd level support to branches on NMB MasterCard (remote on-us) issues or transactions acquired by other bank ATMs
  • Accountable for end-to-end security of NMB MasterCard branded cards from application, production, storage, distribution, issuance of cards to customers and full life-cycle thereafter.
  • NMB’s contact point to the Third Party Processer (TPP) on Interface / integration issues, NMB MasterCard branded ATM cards transactions & issues, other banks Visa / MasterCard transactions & issues, reconciliation & settlement issues, etc.
  • Extraction and upload (exchange) of Card data and any other information from / to the TPP.
  • Generation of all required reports from TPP systems

Required Competences:

  • Risk / Security management
  • ATM card production operations
  • Systems administration
  • Back up/Recovery and Systems continuity
  • Understanding and implementation of current and future EMV and PCI standards
  • Professional training on EMV Compliance
  • Professional training on PCI Security Standards
  • 3 years’ experience in Visa / MasterCard technical environment, preferably 5 years’ experience in ICT in banking/Financial industry with exposure to the Self Service Channel systems analysis and support.
  • Experience in other Self services Channels systems, especially ATM switch, ATM Card Management systems, Hardware Security Module (HSM),
  • Experience in Visa / MasterCard production, operations, process, controls & security
  • Demonstrated experience working in a deadline-oriented environment managing multiple operations simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative and fast-paced atmosphere
  • Graduate – Information Systems/Computer science/Computer engineering or equivalent, preferably Post-graduate – Information Systems/Computer science/Computer engineering/MBA or equivalent
