RESPONSIBILITY/ACTIVITIES

– Take the lead in identification of promotion and development candidates – Be responsible for the development plans for the OR employees on and offshore – Together with the relevant Managers decide and implement all promotions and transfers within the company – Be responsible for identifying internal candidates for positions on the new drillships and execute movements between all units – Be responsible for planning and execution of training plans in connection with the Company’s development plan for the employees – Be responsible for the implementation and update of the onboard training programme and training matrixes for all the drilling units – Be responsible for the maintenance and development of the Company’s Annual Interview system – Take the lead in training of the employees in use of the Annual Interview system – Be responsible for the development and execution of the leadership training and seminars  – Analyse long-term competence and resource requirements and make proposals for future development of the organization 

 SPECIAL DUTIES

– Execute special duties directed by the SVP Human Resources – Participate in the Company’s Emergency Organization, and be in possession of the Next-of-kin tranining course – Be in possession of valid medical and offshore survival course – Add learned knowledge and experience to all members of the HR team when applicable 

GENERAL INSTRUCTION FOR MANAGERS

Within the bounds of the company’s plans and objectives for their respective department, and shall make these known to their subordinates. It is through their department staff that managers shall achieve results, however a manager and supervisor must establish the necessary control functions to ensure that any shortcomings are identified at an early enough stage as to allow for correction.

Managers and supervisors shall loyally support the decisions made and/or directives given by the immediate superior. In cases of disagreement, managers and supervisors shall of course put forward their point of view to their immediate superior, but shall fully support a final decision, when made.

The manager shall ensure the best possible development of direct reports and have good contact with them in order to appraise their work and in giving guidance and support.

Each manager and supervisor shall work to improve the company’s safety statistic, productivity and profitability by being cost conscious, striving to improve safety routines, efficiency and eliminate errors or negligence.

Managers and supervisors shall remember that they are an example for others in the company and must therefore at all times follow the rules, systems and routines that constitute company policy.
