Develop, manage and co-ordinate the Operations and Technology activities for our client in Gabon under the direct supervision of the CCO for Gabon (Libreville, Port Gentil) and the Central Africa Sub Cluster Head. Recommend and implement operation strategy, short term plans and objectives in line with the overall business plan developed by the CCO and the EMEA Operations and Technology chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage short-range operations strategies and assist in developing and managing long-range operations business strategies.
  • Manage and achieve processing, systems, customer service and related objectives for Gabon, in line with business policies to meet the needs of the business and customers.
  • Operations and technology financial planning and financial control.
  • Manage human, processing and systems resources to maximize quality and quantity of service while reducing cost.
  • Manage the short and long term career and development of all operations and technology staff including CTI, ICGTech, GCS, CRS and CSIS.
  • Establish, maintain and enhance communications with the appropriate line areas. Act as the operations customer link to facilitate the flow of information, to develop the necessary support systems, and to insure the achievement of business objectives.
  • Manage the development of key systems and related staffing plans to evolve a technologically advanced organization.
  • Recommend operations process to support new business initiatives and co-ordinate the implementation with compliance and technology.
  • Ensure enhancement and maintenance of internal controls to reduce/control risks and to improve operations standards for our client’s Gabonese operations.
  • Make quality service delivery an integral part of operating culture in the bank.
  • Plan and manage bank premises to provide conductive work environment for staff and service environment for our customers.
  • Responsible for allocation of resources, production of forecasts and budgets and training & development of staff
  • Ensure the Core Operating principles are thoroughly embedded to top to bottom.
  • Perform monthly analytical review of balances, transaction if requested by management providing meaningful explanations for meaningful variances
  • Promote a culture of service excellence and quality assurance, championing the concept of continuous improvement in business processes, combined with controls appropriate to the level of risk.
  • Be hands-on and be involved in day-to-day operations when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Business or Quantitative Studies.
