Brand Manager

Job Description

Responsibility for delivery of growth driving platforms including:

  • Innovation: Lead development of execution plans for the brand’s innovation agenda.
  • Lead Brand strategy and execution ensuring coordinated plans across paid, owned and earned channels with ongoing analysis and optimization.
  • Experiential/Partnerships: Oversight for experiential platforms and brand partnerships delivering increased brand equity and consumer trial.
  • Commercial Support: In conjunction with Consumer Activation (CA) lead the creation of retailer programs focused on the on and off premise channels.
  • Trade: Develop and enhance relationships with the trade community through ongoing programming providing portfolio education and training.
  • Lead agency team by fostering strong working relationships and sharing through regular check ins.
  • Recommends the brand performance interventions.
  • Responsible and accountable for the brands’ Advertising and Promotions (A&P).
  • Brand Equity / Shares / Volume / Profit achievement.
  • Accountable for delivering the brand P&L and leading the business functions that are responsible for delivering the plan.
  • Supports to deliver the right A&P and investment behind the Brand/Market and ROI KPIS.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation of key activities and resulting investment decisions.
  • Support Senior Brand Manager in development of yearly marketing business plan and three-year brand strategy.
  • Responsible for ad hoc business performance analysis, insight development with planner, and recommendations to address issues or improve existing programming.

Personal Specification

Key requirements include:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer marketing and undergraduate degree (preferred)

  • Must have deep knowledge of and appreciation for what it takes to build Wines and Spirits brands (Mainstream)

  • BSc Marketing and/or agency background and/or Beverage alcohol experience (preferred)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience managing creative agencies

  • Experience with social media and digital marketing

  • Detail-oriented with ability to work in fast-paced environment

  • Highly skilled relationship builder and influencer

  • Ability to demonstrate consumer insight, creativity and flair

  • Ability to maintain positive outlook amidst challenges and effectively problem-solve and

    make decisions

  • Ability to enroll and motivate a large, complex commercial organization

  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, prioritize and drive to action
