Job Description

Nigeria Distilleries Limited is looking for a skilled Warehouse Manager Responsible for ensuring the efficient management and control of the Warehouse Operation whilst achieving agreed budgetary and service levels.

Summary of Role

The Warehouse Manager has overall responsibility for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand. Warehouse Manager will hold a strategic role and deal with planning, coordinating, administration and general management issues including the management of store staff. 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Plan and supervise the workflow in a warehouse.
  • Order, receive and handle materials into the warehouse.
  • Plan and organize materials and items at proper places in a warehouse.
  • Hire and provide training for new employees.
  • Maintain and manage inventories accurately; FIFO and LIFO; shelving principles
  • Replenish materials with regards to production schedules and customer orders.
  • Create, plan and implement accuracy in inventory controls.
  • Organise storage of finished products.
  • Implement safety procedures and standards in all warehouse operations

Personal Specification

Experience and Functional Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field. 
  • Thorough understanding of Inventory Management
  • 6+ years of sales experience in FMCG/Drinks Business
  • 2+ years’ experience in a significant leadership role in FMCG/Drinks Business
  • Good knowledge and extensive work experience in Multi Plant Manufacturing Experience
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Change Management skills required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills required.
  • Excellent entrepreneurial and commercial awareness
  • High degree of assertiveness across cultural and geographical diversity
