Job Purpose:
To oversee branch operations in order to ensure that they operate profitably in line with the business plan, to ensure branches implement management controls to minimize losses and fraud and manage the staff to ensure they meet performance targets in line with the overall NMB operational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsible for managing the business plan including product marketing, branch operations, also to ensure planning process in all branches are in line with the Corporate business strategy and the zonal business environment.
- Monitoring branch business processes to ensure they meet customer requirements and make recommendations where necessary to improve them.
- Develop new business opportunities, setting up new branches in areas where NMB is under represented, also coordinates zonal marketing initiatives to meet market revenue growth targets
- Maintains strong relationships with key customers, and ensures that branches provide the level of service required to reinforce that relationship.
- Oversee management audits in the branches to ensure that management controls are in place and internal audit report recommendations are implemented, also reviews financial reports from branches at zonal level and ensures they meet reporting requirements.
- Manage staff to ensure they understand the context of their role, ensure performance management and review for departmental staff , including contracting, assess and monitor the training and development needs
- Ensure staff have the resources they require to perform their work and assess and report on the levels of staff morale

- At least 5 years’ experience in branch operations in a reputable financial services institutions
- A good knowledge of banking operations at branch level, Good business, Management and leadership skills. High interpersonal skills. Conversant with standard computer applications. Good analytical skills and report writing skills, computer literate in standard computer operations
- General understanding of current business trends and competition in the industry and its overall impact to the performance of the bank.
- Bachelor Degree or Its Equivalent
