Job Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

Maintain a professional approach to work, setting a high standard and positive example to junior technicians and colleagues alike.

Maintain a high standard of work place cleanliness and overall good “Housekeeping”

Travel to remote locations on occasion for tooling set up, integration, maintenance and operation.

Work with Oceaneering and Client ROV and Engineering teams to support and operate DTS Tooling.

Assist with the build and commissioning of new Tooling systems as instructed by the Workshop Manager.

Maintain and Service ancillary equipment and Tools to ensure safe and  reliable performance in use.

Perform all assigned tasks with due diligence with respect to safety and quality, and in line with Oceaneering’s Operating Standards.

Produce the required paper or electronic documentation in support of all assigned work tasks.

Actively participate and promote the 5S process in the DTS ER workshops. 

General

The list of the job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.

Assist with any other duties as and when required.

Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.

Ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to  in order to ensure a safe working environment.

Other

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Perform assigned tasks with due diligence.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

 Apprenticeship in an Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical based Trade. ( Preferred )

City and Guilds Qualification or equivalent.  ( Preferred )

Basic First Aid. (  Preferred)

EXPERIENCE: 

WORK

Practical experience in a relevant field, mechanical, electrical or hydraulic  (Essential )

Working knowledge of HSE practices and policies with regard to Workshop activities ( Preferred )

Engineering Apprenticeship ( Preferred )

 

EQUIPMENT:

 Familiarity with offshore subsea production equipment in general .( Preferred) )and with as many items as possible from the following list:

Remotely operated vehicles and related tooling

Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Lifting and handling systems

Electrical power and electronic control systems

Light fabrication equipment and methods

 

SOFTWARE

Basic knowledge of Oceaneering desktop software including –

Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. ( Preferred )

Tool Pool Manager  ( Preferred )

Lighthouse  ( Preferred )
