Commercial Planning Manager

Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

The incumbent under the supervision of the Head of Egypt & Middle East (EME) is in charge of all commercial planning activities, incl. the yearly planning cycle and any strategic reviews. The job holder also leads pricing operations and selected projects. Finally, this role aims at supporting of the commercial team with insightful analysis and decision making support activities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Strategy & Planning:

  1. Drives all activities related to the planning cycle of the Cluster and the two Commercial units incl. Commercial Plans, Budget in collaboration with all stakeholders
  2. Leads the preparation of specific strategic reviews (e.g. GTM)
  3. Is the secretary of the cluster Management Committee and follow-up on actions
  4. Is the centre of excellence for planning in cluster (support campaigns, portfolio process etc.).

  • Pricing & operations: 

  1. Leads price setting and commercial policy activities (incl. pricing reviews with Territory marketing)
  2. Runs the yearly price review process
  3. Deputizes the CU Head for ad-hoc pricing decisions
  4. Supports the Head of Sales in monthly SOP cycle
  5. Coordinates and supports implementation of process and operations improvement activities

  • Financial analysis and decision making support: 
  1. Supports financial analysis data and proposes commercial decisions based on that
  2. Builds and validates business cases for projects

  • Project management / follow-up

  1. Leads selected projects for the cluster, the CUs and/or on selected countries
  2. Supports, reviews and provides regular status updates on projects managed by other people within the cluster

  • Other activities

  1. Prepares the commercial sections of management reports in close collaboration with the Finance BP e.g. monthly business report
  2. Runs on behalf of the CU Head selected administrative processes e.g. CRMC, LoA, etc.
  3. Ad hoc problem solving / operations support

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES

  • Critical knowledge and experience

  1. BA or MA in finance / economics / business administration
  2. 3-5 years of experience in finance, project management or similar
  3. Excellent MS excel skills
  4. Effective planning and project management experience
  5. English language a must,
  6. Arabic language a benefit
