Commissioning Engineer

Job Description

  • Reporting to the Project Commissioning Lead Offshore to provide technical construction/commissioning support to the IHUC Team and to oversee the construction/commissioning Rotating Equipment interfaces with the main contractors.
  • To support the Project during detail design, FPSO conversion and topsides integration through mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, system start-Up and System Acceptance (Performance Test).
  • To verify that Contractor establishes Commissioning plan. effects commissioning of systems as per agreed completions and commissioning procedures
  • Assurance that Acceptance (Performance) test are completed and achieves criteria as per agreed procedure
  • Ensure Commissioning Process is planned and executed in line with Company/Project EHS Objectives.
  • Review Contractors Commissioning Plans per System, Subsystem breakdown to verify alignment with critical path commissioning activities
  • Liaise with Contractor, Shipyard and Topsides Fabricator to ensure completions check sheets are completed with a Quality assurance to an acceptable quality and processed in a timely manner for individual systems.
  • Review Contractor’s commissioning procedures and execution to ensure they satisfy the project objectives.
  • Awareness and sensitivity to multinational exposures and cultures.

Requirement

  • Higher Diploma or Degree Qualified as a Rotating Equipment (Mechanical) Discipline Engineer with 10+ years experience in Commissioning and Operations.
  • Discipline Engineering experience within the international offshore oil & gas industry.
  • Experience in a Commissioning Engineers position with similar scope of work and responsibilities
  • Possess a proven Commissioning or  Process Operations background to enable effective interrogation of the Contractor’s Commissioning Procedures to ensure maximum efficiency during commissioning work
  • Ability to travel internationally and to offshore locations if required
  • Computer literate and effective with “office”  software suite
  • Management and interpersonal skills in order to interact with and coordinate the activities of contractors and within own multi-discipline project team
