Country Manager – Angola

Job Description

The following vacancy exists for a Country Manager: Angola in the Africa Business Unit, reporting to the Regional Director: Africa at Head Office.  If you possess the required skills and experience, we invite you to apply.

Key Performance Areas

  • Responsible for achieving the present Angolan leisure trips and spend targets
  • Devise and implement a marketing strategy for the Angolan market
  • Analyse market trends and research and design the business plan for the markets
  • Compile and present marketing and sales reports
  • Develop and execute the marketing plan to deliver company objectives
  • Plan must include a strong digital marketing component
  • Representing Africa market at various relevant stakeholder’s meetings
  • Manage the delivery of agencies based on strategy
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with Travel Trade, Provincial Authorities, travel channels, Government stakeholders and many other relevant stakeholders
  • Delivering on the four areas of execution which are: working with the trade, communications, branding and product packaging
  • Manage team and ensure they achieve the desired objectives
  • Manage Business Unit budget and delivery on contracts

Qualifications & Experience

  • An appropriate degree/diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience, coupled with a strategic outlook and focus
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and marketing
  • A bias to action and data-driven decision making
  • Experience within the travel industry
  • Should be a South African national
