Job Purpose:To build the TEC brand in the Energy category through the introduction of new products and product enhancements.

Principal Accountabilities:1. To develop unique value propositions, business partnerships, category management, targeted toward key consumer segments that increases brand awareness and profitability.2. To build and manage a pipeline of technology innovation, feeding this through into the business to drive company performance. This will encompass breakthrough science, major technology and value engineering projects3. To oversee business development activities, communication activities and manage suppliers external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities. Work closely with the Procurement team in optimizing cost base and evaluating alternate supply sources4. To build, develop and lead a team of Power Category Managers which are competent, commercial astute, dedicated and efficient.5. To develop and deliver insightful presentations and strategies to the business in order to make right decisions as regards to the Energy category.6. To achieve an agreed amount of sales revenue and profit contribution gained through innovation, which contributes to the overall revenue target of 30% from innovation and gross margin target of 2% above category average.7. To manage relationships with appropriate Agencies clarifying desired outcomes from each piece of consumer research project, so that findings and recommendations on consumer insights are delivered by agreed deadlines with maximum returns on investment.8. To analyze data and recommendations received from assigned Agencies to develop new product concepts which are most likely to succeed against agreed numbers. New product concepts will comprise a combination of enhancements to existing products and products which are new to Nigeria and/or globally.9. Clearly defined product strategy and roadmap which takes into account frequent competition analysis and escalate potential threats/risks. 10. Liaise with commercial team in supporting the category growth through key account management strategy and developing a holistic, coherent and differentiating route to the market11. Deliver Annual & monthly revenue forecast. Propose an overall budget to ensure success.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Needed:1. Minimum of 10 years’ experience as Marketing Manager with relevant experience in Energy and power back-up solutions 2. Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products in power category 3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 4. Excellent numerical, analytical skill and forecasting techniques 5. Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) with technical background6. Excellent Leadership skills7. Highly innovative.8. Self starter & Excellent teamwork skills 9. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
