Junior Marketing Manager West Africa

Job Description

Global Career Company is currently looking for a Junior Marketing Manager West Africa for our client, leading FMCG company.

The jobholder leads the marketing and brand management activities for West Africa. On top, (s)he is the guardian of the brands and categories profit and Loss statement.

When it comes to project launches and coordination, He/She is responsible for leading local counterparts in functions and agencies to make sure projects are launched on time.

(S)he translates the regional marketing plans to local plans relevant to West Africa.

Additional responsibilities will include providing support to Global and Regional Business development, creating business presentations, performing in depth market-analysis and monitoring industry trends and company news. Provide support to identify and assess strategic issues, facilitate strategic discussion, and manage strategic initiatives. Formulating volunteer projects and ensuring adherence to sustainability standards in order to enhance the competitive advantage of the business.

Main tasks

1. Local Brand Strategy: Setting activation and marketing strategy for the brands

2. Business Plan support: Clear identification of needed activities to be executed on every brand while making sure it boils down into the overarching country marketing plan. This includes Design relevant consumer activation campaigns in association with regional marketing hub to achieve the assigned Brand KPIs with local agency.

3. Brand KPI Analysis: Continuous analysis of available Data from Syndicated Market shares, ATP tracker, consumer insights, special tests, competitive intelligence. This includes responsibility for consumer KPIs of the assigned portfolio: from Retail perspective: Value and Volume Market share. From Consumer perspective:  brand health checks including Top of mind, awareness, and overall ATP measures.

4. Industry knowledge and representation: Responsible for gathering, analyzing information about the marketplace, syndicated info, customer needs perspectives, expectations. ON top, (S)he represents the company in several local forums including the local chemical authorities.

Responsible for Brands’ finances in terms of steering and influence.

The ideal candidate should have an experience of 5 years minimum within the FMCG industry on a similar position. You must have a strong knowledge of the market in Senegal, Ivory Coast and Ghana. You are fluent in French and English.
