Principal Finance Projects Officer

Job Description

Purpose/ Mission 
Analyses Partners financials to support cost control of Partners; (ii) supervises budget and forecasts updated analysis to provide inputs for Management review & validation; (iii) performs financial analysis to support commercial Evaluation of new fields and development projects.
 
Roles/Responsibilities 
  • Monitor Partners’ compliance with Financial Regulation and Commercial Agreements
  • Identify data to be collected from Partners’ counterparts to ensure compliance to Financial Regulation
  • Liaise with Corporate Strategy to provide Financial Inputs/ Analysis regarding Commercial Agreements compliance (e.g. IRR target vs Performance)
  • Review financial reports consolidation and ensure it meets with regulatory obligations
  • Supervise budget and forecast update analysis to provide inputs for Management review & validation
  • Identify Partners’ Budget and Forecast and hypothesis to be collected
  • Perform complex analysis of cash calls accuracy and follow-up the payment
  • Monitor and report on Performance focusing on main points of attention based on history and gap analysis
  • Review Partners’ explanation. If needed liaise with Partners counterparts to investigates pending issues
  • Plan meetings and engagement reviews with partners
  • Perform complex financial analysis to support commercial Evaluation of new fields and development projects
  • Analysis complex financing options for new fields and development projects
  • Provide expertise to Juniors on evaluation tools for new fields and development projects
  • Develop productive relationship with Partners’ Finance Counterpart
  • Provide inputs for Budget preparation and ensure cost monitoring of assigned budget lines
  • Provide inputs for Finance Projects Budget to person in charge of the entity
  • Track performance of Finance Projects budget lines and monitor cost (provide detailed explanations for cost gaps and variances)
  • Supervise Finance Projects Officers and ensure quality and timely delivery of their assignments
  • Act as mentor of junior officer and recommend training needs to person in charge of the entity
 
Qualifications Required 
Education
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent required
  • Masters’ Degree in Finance or Accounting or CFA preferred 
 
Experience
  • 8-10 years working experience in Accounting/ Cost Control or Finance
  • Knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry is an advantage
