Project Manager – Angola

Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Project management of DTS services. Management of Tooling assets, Business development, Client communication, Tendering for new contracts and the Coordination and of equipment and personnel in the UK and overseas.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop world class communications with our customers;
  • Establish strong relationships with customers and colleagues;
  • Travel on an as required basis to manage and co-ordinate ongoing and specific project operations and development;
  • Actively assist in the preparation of tenders and proposals, including ITT reviews and working closely with the commercial teams to ensure tenders are submitted on time and to a high quality;
  • Report accurate financial results and trend analysis of responsible area to Tooling Manager on a monthly basis for inclusion in FLASH;
  • Raise Invoices and work in conjunction with the DTS Cost Accountant to ensure correct client and inter-company invoicing is conducted;
  • Actively monitor and assist in the follow up and expediting of outstanding Invoices to ensure payments are made in a timely manner and in accordance with the contracts;
  • Market and promote DTS products and services;
  • Review Client supplied documents and drawings to assess the required Tooling and equipment;
  • Attend safety and project start meetings when required;
  • Ensure that any expatriate and local employees have the necessary training in order to conduct Tooling operations to the highest level;
  • Work within the QA procedures and processes of the Company;
  • Undertake Risk Assessments on all aspects of the operational activities under their control.

General

  • The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to assist with / undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post;
  • Assist with any other duties as and when required.

  • Provide the tools for, and actively encourage, the full implementation of Oceaneering’s Safety and Operating Standards;
  • Ensure the safety policies and procedures are communicated to the staff, that they are understood, adhered to and recorded, in order to ensure a safe working environment.

Other

  • Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems;
  • Perform assigned tasks with due diligence;
  • Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

  • Formal Management Training (Preferred);
  • HNC or Equivalent in Engineering Field (Preferred).

EXPERIENCE:

WORK

  • Knowledge of typical WROV tooling systems (Preferred);
  • Experience of working with hydraulic systems (Preferred);
  • Experience of designing equipment including hydraulics and mechanisms (Preferred);
  • General project management experience (Preferred);
  • Demonstrated history of managing projects, personnel, cost, schedule, performance and customer interface (Preferred).

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:

Familiarity with marine and offshore / subsea production equipment and operations in general and in particular with as many items as possible from the following: (Preferred)

  • Subsea Operations Onshore Support;
  • Subsea Trees and Manifolds;
  • ROV Tooling and Intervention methods;
  • Remotely Operated Vehicles;
  • Lifting and Handling Systems;
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems;
  • Electrical Power and Electronic Control Systems.

SOFTWARE

  • Micro Soft Office (Essential);
  • PowerPoint (Preferred).
