QHSE Coordinator

Purpose of the Job:

Positions holders are responsible for activities related to environmental health and safety.

Activities include:

  • Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments
  • Investigating accidents and environmental incidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence
  • Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organisation and government standards related to environmental health and safety
  • Maintaining relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the environmental performance of the organisation
  • Manage and maintain energy management data

  • Entry Level Professional

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of key business HSE improvement projects
  • Monitor compliance to HSE procedures
  • Support accident and incident investigations in relation to all incident reports (Accidents and Risks) and follow up on outstanding actions as required
  • Carry out site HSE inspections and ensure that corrective actions are highlighted and managed.  Provide proactive support and guidance on all HSE related issues within the site
  • Identify relevant HSE training requirements for all affected personnel
  • Implement effective HSE communications and employee consultation
  • Build effective relationships with site management
  • Passionately champion all aspects of HSE on site
  • Ensure compliance to HSE Risk Assessments
  • Identify continual improvement opportunities, and support implementation
  • Provide support and direction for HSE Champions
