QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CO-ORDINATOR – Angola

Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To ensure that the Company Quality Management System (QMS) is effectively implemented, monitored, maintained and continually improved.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Act as Quality Management Representative for Angola;
  • Liaise with Management in the development and maintenance of the Management System and advise and assist all levels of personnel in the preparation, maintenance and improvement of Management System documentation;
  • Assist in the development, monitoring and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
  • Advise and represent the Company on Quality matters with Customers and other outside bodies;
  • Liaise with other locations within Oceaneering on Quality matters as required and provide regular updates on the status of Improvement Projects to Regional QA Management;
  • Co-ordinate Management Meetings to review internal audit reports and other associated matters related to the ISO 9001:2008 certification processes on a frequent basis. Prepare and distribute minutes of these meetings and monitor actions resulting from them;
  • Schedule and perform internal audits in order to monitor the effectiveness of the implementation of the Management System and formally report the results;
  • Ensure there are adequate systems in place for monitoring Quality matters and be responsible for taking appropriate action. Monitor non-conformances, improvement suggestions and waste cards to ensure that the improvement actions are taken in a timely and effective manner;
  • Co-ordinate actions arising from the complaints procedure. Advise and make recommendations to Management on the resolutions of problems affecting Quality;
  • Carry out or co-ordinate the training of Oceaneering personnel in the Company Management System processes;
  • Ensure that the updating process of relevant Technical Standards is suitably controlled;
  • Consult with external organisations to keep abreast of the latest developments in Quality Systems and legislation to ensure operations are informed of changes that impact operations;
  • Collate and maintain all records pertaining to the Project Quality system, including lessons learned;
  • Attend and participate in internal and external meetings as required;
  • Assist in the assessment and review of sub-contractors and suppliers by audit, questionnaire or performance records in order to maintain the Approved Suppliers / Sub-Contractors Lists;
  • To promote the One Oceaneering Strategy through working with other Service and Product Lines and Functional Support Groups where appropriate.

General

  • Assist with any other duties as and when required.  Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.

Safety

  • Ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to in order to ensure a safe working environment;
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and tool box talks as required by client;
  • Ensure that Radiation Safety procedures are adhered to at all times and that required documentation is kept updated.

Other

  • Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems;
  • Perform assigned tasks with due diligence;
  • Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

  • Degree preferably in QA or related field (Preferred);
  • Attended a Lead Assessor / Assessor Training Course (Preferred);
  • HUET and Offshore Survival Certificate (Preferred).

EXPERIENCE:

WORK

  • Minimum of three years experience in Quality and/or HSE Management (Essential);
  • Experienced in undertaking audits and assessments to meet legislative requirements (e.g. Internal / External Audits) (Preferred);
  • Knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001:2008 certification (Essential);
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement Techniques and application (Preferred);
  • Experience in Engineering / Marine disciplines (Preferred).

SOFTWARE

  • Computer literate and experienced in the use of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) (Essential).
