Aker Solutions’ Subsea team based in Luanda, is an innovative, dynamic and highly competent team that provides advanced subsea systems and services on depths down to 2000 meters. We are now looking for creative and experienced engineers who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Angolan market.

 

We are looking for: Support Engineer


Responsibilities and tasks

&#149  Provide technical and engineering support for central instrumentation and control systems.

&#149  Ensure that each technical area of the project is communicated adequately to guarantee the project’s timely implementation.

&#149  Ensure that all changes made during subsequent phases of the project are appropriately reviewed and monitored.

&#149  Review the technical requirements of tenders and suggest the best technical solution.

&#149  Prepare the technical content of fixed-price proposals, budget proposals and studies, including clarification of technical proposals.

&#149  Prepare the technical proposal for inclusion in the tender.

&#149  Formulate clarification requests on client proposals.

&#149  Implement and manage projects received by the department.

&#149  Assist in ensuring that the design and technical specification of proposals are correct and followed during project execution.

&#149  Assess changes to the system design during project execution.

&#149  Participate in the design process, safety assessments, HAZOP and HAZID studies, risk assessments, etc., as needed.

&#149  Act as a mentor to project engineers in technical aspects of their daily work

Qualifications & personal attributes

&#149  University degree in engineering

&#149  3-5 years relevant engineering experience

&#149  Good knowledge of customer service and support practices and services.

&#149  Very good knowledge and experience in operations management and logistics.

&#149  Very good knowledge of the materials and equipment used.

&#149  Experience in scheduling and monitoring tasks

&#149  Fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal
